Meet Holly Spears, FDN-P, NAU Urology Specialists’ Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner and Health Coach
Holly Spears, FDN-P, grew up in the Texas Hill Country. Holly had a 10-year career in Property Management in the Austin, Houston and Dallas areas before turning her full-time attention to her growing family. While raising her four children, Holly and her family spent 14 years living in South Africa and Mauritius. They also enjoyed visiting other countries. During this time, she became involved with outreach programs that provided creativity and motor skill development, as well as healthy meals to local school children. This experience refreshed her perspective on many things, including the value of more balanced living and the benefits of applying a natural approach to wellness.
Holly furthers her education becomes certified
When Holly and her family settled back in Austin in 2015, she took on a management role as a Childcare Coordinator, as well as working with families of children with health challenges and special needs. Holly’s belief in natural therapeutics and the use of nutraceuticals became a strong motivator to do a deep dive and learn more in her spare time about how she could best serve these families in finding better outcomes.
In 2020, Holly was given the opportunity to pause full-time work and she began studying to earn her certification as a Functional Diagnostic Nutrition® Practitioner and Health Coach. This greatly furthered Holly’s understanding of just how and why the simple steps of a holistic program can have such profound results which turned her passion into her profession: helping others reframe their perspective on health and wellness and achieve it as naturally as possible.
Holly enjoys many activities outside work
Holly finds it deeply rewarding to walk alongside those ready to take this journey of discovery for themselves. When she isn’t focused on her work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, especially her kids & grandkids as much as possible. Holly also loves horseback riding, snow skiing, traveling, being outdoors and swimming, preferably in a beautiful hill country river.
