Dr. Chris Yang is a recovering tech geek turned physician. Dr. Yang was born and raised in the Houston area. He attended the University of Chicago, graduating with honors with degrees in Computer Science and Biological Sciences. He worked for two years in healthcare software at Epic Systems Corporation, writing and implementing electronic medical record software for large hospital systems.
Dr. Yang decided that he wanted to work directly with patients and obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed his urology residency training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He then underwent specialty training in a Sexual Medicine fellowship at the University of South Florida, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor.
Dr. Yang has presented his research at local, national, and international conferences. He has multiple articles published in peer-reviewed journals and serves as a reviewer for several journals. He has co-authored book chapters on sexual and orgasmic dysfunction and is a past editor of the Men’s Health section of the journal Current Urology Reports.
Dr. Yang joined NAU Urology Specialist in 2015. He sees patients with all urological diseases and has a special interest in the medical and surgical treatment of erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, and low testosterone.
Dr. Yang enjoys hiking and spending time with his dog, Ollie.
