Enlarged Prostate (BPH)
With annual rectal exam and regular blood testing for prostate issues, BPH can usually be detected and treated early. However, if BPH detection is delayed, symptoms are severe enough, or the prostate is enlarged within a certain range, additional procedures may be necessary. There are minimally invasive, non-surgical options available, as well as surgeries such as transurethral resection of the prostate.
